Vítor Marsula is a producer and multi-instrumentalist based in São Paulo, Brazil. He is also part of the darkwave duo Two Internet Ghosts and a former member of the progressive rock band A 25a Experiência and the Brazilian psychedelia band Molodoys. In his third record as a solo artist, Anjos Fósseis (Fossile Angels), he consolidates and hones the techniques and themes present in his previous albuns, A Última Gota (The Last Drop) and Três Votos (Three Vows). Those used to Two Internet Ghosts will find a deep exploration of subjective and lexicon in very different visages, making use of genres and aesthetics such as ambient, drone and world music.

“O Xerpa e o Vazio” is the single that precedes the album. In this track Vítor Marsula and the guest Carla Boregas offer us a composition of simple melody and arrangement, a semi-song that straddles the line between threat and laughter. The B-side brings “Sentinela”, another album track that touches upon drone music with a hint of South-American folkism and a rework by Lucindo, a sample collage that ob- scures the clarity of the original with smoke and lights.
