Matsuhei and Arubu Avua’s faina starts at the moment in which transit is not possible, but travelling becomes necessary.

Transitless travel is subjective and induced by big tech-provided images of a virtually duplicated physical world.
I revisit the Porto where Arubu has recently landed and from the banks bathed by yellow light, I can see the neg- ative of centenary facades, fractioned by the rigid geometry of scaffolding. Above, cranes have replaced roofs.
Many say that this world is the “old” one, but it is known that there are other much older ones.
Others say that we have a entered a new world; the present one, permeated by the duplicated image that may one day bury all existing matter, as in Borges’ short story.
A few kilometers from there, workers help themselves to chinese food during a break from loading containers. On the small screen, prank videos have just arrived on WhatsApp. All of them play the new verses, where the flows are intense and vertiginous, but the faina follows the rythmn of the water...

A faina de Matsuhei e Arubu Avua se inicia no momento em que o trânsito não é possível, mas a viagem é necessária.

A viagem sem trânsito é subjetiva e induzida por imagens de uma duplicação virtual do mundo físico fornecidas por uma big tech.

Revisito o Porto onde Arubu pousou recente e das margens banhadas de luz amarela, enxergo o negativo das fachadas centenárias, fracionadas pela geometria rígida de andaimes. Acima, guindastes substituem telhados.

Muitos dizem que este mundo é o "velho", mas sabe-se que há outros bem mais velhos que esse.

Outros dizem que entramos em um mundo novo, esse, agora, permeado pela imagem duplicada que talvez uma hora enterre toda matéria existente, como em um conto de Borges.

Há poucos quilômetros, trabalhadores se servem de chow mein no intervalo do carregamento de containers. Na tela pequena, prank videos que acabaram de chegar no zap. Todos tocam os novos versos, onde os fluxos são intensos e dão vertigem, mas a faina segue o ritmo da água…
